The banner included is from our current website - http://www.chwcentral.org. This site is being redesigned but the banner will move to the new site so it is a good indication of colors/themes we are looking for.
We like both pictorial and abstract marks for the logo design options. (could only select 3 so thought I would mention it here)

Who are Community Health Workers: Domestically, they provide culturally appropriate health education, information and outreach in community-based settings, such as homes, schools, clinics, shelters, local businesses, and community centers; assure that people access the services they need; provide direct services, such as informal counseling, social support, care coordination and health screenings; and advocate for individual and community needs.
Internationally, they are generally members of their communities who are trained to carry out one or more functions related to health care. Their tasks range from health promotion to disease prevention and include curative care for tuberculosis (TB), care of HIV/AIDS patients, malaria control, referrals and reproductive health and family planning education and services, and care for children under five. They may visit clients in their homes, their communities, or at clinics.
