Myself, my wife and 2 of our close friends are owners of a mobile food operation that sells corn products prepared Sonoran style. We purchased the business from a family and have been running it for the past year. We're new at this and have been learning (A LOT!) along the way.
Our goal is to eventually open up a restaurant and add to our corn products.
We sell "corn in a cup" which is a type of chowder or soup made of white corn hand-schucked from the cob prepared Mexican style with mayonnaise, cheese, butter and salsa. The official name is Coctel de Elote. We also sell whole corn prepared the same way and traditional roasted sweet corn on the cob. We attend many local events like festivals, fairs and concerts.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to continue to attract our existing hispanic community and introduce our product to new customers of different cultures. When it comes down to it everyone loves corn. Our tag line is "It's not a fiesta without corn". We want our logo to express what we sell.
I have ideas but nothing concrete.
We are a mobile establishment so we would like to encompass the mobile aspect. Maybe incorporate the cart somehow
Spanish style corn... the primary colors on our cart and existing signage are orange, yellow and green.
The name Los Eloteros means The Corn Vendors in Spanish.
Traditionally eloteros who sell these products walk around with a small cart selling corn on the streets of Mexico.
