We are currently looking for a logo that will represent our goals, guiding principles and feminist values. The logo should reflect strength, diversity, togetherness, and collaboration. Common imagery used in women’s shelter logos includes the symbol for the female gender, circles (representing unity), houses that appear safe and warm, hands, doves or dove wings, etc. These symbols are provided as examples only, and do not necessarily need to be incorporated.
As this is a Canadian Network, all publications, etc, will be in both official Canadian languages, French and English. The name of the organization and tagline (Canadian Network of Women’s Shelters & Transition Houses: United to End Violence Against Women / Réseau canadien des maisons d'hébergement: Unies contre la violence faite aux femmes) will always appear in both languages, and therefore the logo cannot be “built” on or around the letters in the acronym for our name.
Thank you once again for looking at our posting. We are very excited and passionate about this initiative, and hope that you will choose to help us launch it!
