Both name options are under consideration, so you are encouraged to submit a design that works for both, or different designs for both possibilities, as the committee who will select the name will be doing so while reviewing the winning design. Both name options, “Women In Numbers” and “Women Who Count” are clever, bordering on cute. We need a more serious and official logo to balance out this branding. We don’t want dollar-sign clip art – the look should be more inline with American Express or a reputable bank.
We would like “Women Who Count” or “Women In Numbers” to be dominant. The tagline “Advancing Careers in Accounting & Finance” is secondary and can receive less emphasis. You could also explore the acronym WIN for "Women In Numbers".
The design needs to be very horizontal, so that we can use the existing space along the top of the website and at the top of the page of newsletters. Ideally, the logo could be adapted or elements could be stacked for a vertical form, or utilize a stand-alone graphic element at that could be used for social media icons, signs and other uses.
When you design this logo, keep in mind you are designing for accountant-type audience. They are fairly conservative in their design and literal in their appreciation for images. So think sophisticated, professional design that is still contemporary enough to appeal to women in their 20s and 30s.
