Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Gilded to Golden isn't just a name. It's a raison d'etre. It begins with the bartending craftmanship of that era in American history called the “Gilded Age,” during which bartenders at the peak of their craft were an intimate part of the community they served. The metropolitan Gilded Age bar served cocktails that were well conceived, masterfully crafted, and simple. The Bartender was the bar’s most valuable asset. He or she served as the peoples' chief craftsman, sometimes their chief politician, and always their chief host of the neighborhood. The neighborhood bar with its maestro bartender was the conduit of communal heritage, culture, and interests. The bar was a place for the rich and poor, famous and obscure, and young and old. Somehow, somewhere along the way, we lost that professionalism. Our mission is to help bring it back. Using the examples of our Gilded past as our vanguard, Gilded To Golden is dedicated to ushering in a new Golden Era for serious bartenders and their craft. And like all good craftsman, bartenders need their tools. Then they must carry them.
I spent three years designing the first of these bartender tool bags in my mind's eye based on my needs as a cocktail bartender in NYC. I, like many craft bartenders, labored for years carrying my tools in bags neither properly designed for all my bar tools, nor designed to be aesthetically pleasing. Then I found a talented bag maker who could make my vision into reality. Gilded to Golden Bartender Bags was born. Together we design bags made from beautiful buffalo leather with classic messenger bag aesthetic. Each bag is handcrafted with the highest of quality products in mind.

Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
This is my rough idea, but you may feel free to change this if you are so inspired. You're professional designers. I believe in you.
My idea was to have the word "Gilded" start out hollow with a gold outline and then the "To" would be a different color other than gold, and then "Golden" would be solid gold in color. A visual of the words linked to the process of taking one bartending era into the other. Then I need a graphic worked into the design that represents the process as well. Maybe a crest/shield divided in two halves, one Gilded G on the left, one golden G on the right, and a small "To" or "2" in between. I don't need the shield to be a battle shield, as much as a crest that stands for something, like the familial crests of certain cultures. I'm thinking Black and Gold as the two main colors, white as the tertiary. The only color I must have in the design, however, is Gold.
