New graduate veterinarian starting small animal mobile practice with not-so-new concept of HOUSECALLS. Marketing to senior citizens, rural communities, neighborhood appointments, non-resident travellers, busy lives/work schedules, multiple animal households, and CONVENIENCE. I need a name & logo that is catchy, colorful, easy to remember, and professional looking. I want people to know that the veterinary clinic is coming to them and I am not just a vaccine/deworming truck !!
Help!! Need a name & logo
- I need a name & logo for my mobile veterinary clinic
- I have 4 sides on the van to advertise, and plan to use them all eventually, but with different information. This contest will decide the main name & logo used for the passenger side of the van and will be the main focus for the contest. Pictures of the truck with its current logo can be downloaded if needed
- I am a new veterinarian, right out of school, mid-forties, and from this region. I consider myself eco-friendly, outdoorsey, and outgoing.
- The business is located in Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington in an area of progressive and year-around tourism. Similar to Sun Valley, Idaho with skiing and numerous outdoor activities, and lots of wildlife.
- I need professional help ! :-) I figure if you needed veterinary care, you would ask me for help rather than try and do it yourself, so why am I trying to be an artist when I am not?
- Design should instill a good feeling about veterinarians and how your pet deserves its own special doctor who comes to THEIR house (special care for special friends)
- I think of myself as "your other family doctor" and would like to suggest to prospective clients or have my clients and patients think of me like this. Would be nice to use this phrase as a secondary?
- I would like to incorporate a red cross somehow, suggesting medical care/urgent care/preventative wellness exams; not just a truck carrying vaccines. The cross should be more of a maroon-red rather than berry-red.
- I like earthy tones-colors such as heather, sage, wheat
- Previously I had leaned toward the name "Healing Hands" with a line-type hand drawing, a dogs paw, within a cross with a circle or heart around it. The Healing Hands words across the top of the circle, and then housecall or mobile veterinarian off to the side. Someone please try the "Healing Hands" idea !! People were telling me it sounded like I did acupuncture, religious healing, aromatherapy, or massage, none of which I do. I wouldn't want people to assume by the logo that is what I do and not look further. I think it can work if done right...I just don't know how..
- I do like most of the websites advertising these services (aromatherapy, etc.)-they suggest calm, healing, positive, and loving atmospheres, all of which I want to convey to my clients/patients.
- I also use my hands quite a bit as well as my other senses-it is 95% of a diagnosis !!
- cartoon animal line drawings are fun
- I really like "Life is Good" type marketing...simple, catchy, fun...even the dogs are laughing
- I also like names that say what they do, for example, "Doggles" UV eyeware for dogs, and how about goDoG, a new leash for dogs-what a great name!
- I do not want a name that has nothing to do with what I do, like Rocky Mountain Moose Vets,
- Nothing cutsie like Care-Bear type stuff or real pictures of fluffy kittens or cut and paste animals
- Block lettering, Primary Colors
- do not want veterinarian abbreviated to vet anywhere
