Mogeek is the absolute best designer that I have ever worked with. I am a very difficult and demanding client and expect only the very best. He exceeded my expectations in every way. By the time we were done, I felt guilty not paying him more. If you have the good fortune of being accepted as a client by this designer, you should run, not walk, as fast as you can toward his work!
How billhobs started their logo design journey
Crikit is a men's/ women's organic apparel company that produces high quality and classically styled golf and polo shirts. We are looking for a company logo that communicates the look and feel of the Crikit concept, which brings together a timeless, preppy style with the progressiveness, consciousness, and quality of organic cotton.
Crikit (still considering alternate spellings Criquet or Krickit)
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Crikit defines a new “green-preppy” style that is just as comfortable at the country club as it is at the farmer’s market.
We want our logo to be iconic and easily identifiable. In reality, the Crickit logo IS the company, as it identifies the person and their beliefs, and separates the brand from all others. The logo says to the world that I appreciate classic styles, I am environmentally aware, and I wear the best quality shirts made.
We are open to other ideas but are leaning towards an illustrated version of a green cricket. The logo will be displayed prominently on the shirts so we want it to be able to stand on it’s own as well as be incorporated with the company brand name, Crikit (or alternate spellings Criquet or Krickit). We understand that the brand name has a visual influence on the design concept so feel free to chose a spelling as it works best with your design. The logo should be timeless and classic (like Lacoste's crocodile) but also represent our progressive green image (like Patagonia).
We would also like to see the word "organic" somewhere following the brand name. It doesn't have to be the same font size.
We don’t want the logo to be overly cute, cartoonish or preppy (like Vineyard Vines’ whale or Disney’s Jiminy Cricket). It can’t be overly detailed either since it will need to be easily stitched or applied to clothes.
Please NO earth tone colors. Think more preppy less hippie.
