We are a growing, family owned and operated insurance agency. We sell/service ALL types of insurance and financial products. This includes home, auto, commercials, life, motorcycle, boat, renters, condo, annuities etc etc. We are located in a small town about 55 miles north of NYC. We are currently "exclusive agents" using the Allstate brand.
Our desired audience is very broad. Due to the nature of insurance/financial field we are focused on any person age 18 and over. However, most of our clients are 25+ yrs old. We sell insurance mainly to consumers (auto and home for example); but we also provide insurance for some local companies including commercial auto insurance, general liability etc. The town we are located in is mostly conservative by nature.
Our ideal customer is 35 yrs old, single male who owns a house, multiple cars, and recreational vehicles such as boats, ATVs etc. He has children but is divorced and needs life insurance. He has excess income that is put into annuities or investments. Again, while this is our ideal customer, we need to market to a broad spectrum of consumers.
I am looking for a logo to represent my agency. I am trying to achieve an identity other than just Allstate. My logo will differentiate me from the other Allstate agents in my area.
The winning design will be one that is versatile and simple.
DO: -use our company name in the design "Tanner-Prince Agency"
-create some sort of "anchor" that will hold the design together, this way it won't be like the Microsoft logo. -toy with the idea of using a sub header such as "Insurance and Financial Services" "Professional Insurance Services" -feel free to email me and ask questions/ or request my phone number to discuss
Examples of logos I like:
Designs I dislike:
Since insurance is about protecting people from the unforeseen events in life we would like the logo to embody the following: TRUST, CONFIDENCE, PEACE OF MIND, RELATIONSHIPS, SYNERGY etc
ADDENDUM TO PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
I have reviewed all 40 design submissions and want to extend my thanks to all the competeing artists.
All of your entries are very attractive. However, they all seem to follow the same basic corporate concept in regards to identity.
It is my goal to receive a second round of submissions with particular attention to the following:
-less coporate, more personal, classic professional expression
-less playful color scheme, (before you spend time on color schemes if you want to sumbit b&w threshold for my review that is acceptable)
-design to be submitted w/ font, size, and layout alternatives
-looking for a possible "fresh" yet classic emblem--think time tested companies like ralph lauren, johnnie walker etc
-emblem or anchor must recreate some sense of my locale--agriculture, historic sites, mountains, valleys, hudson river etc. My particular area is unique because it is a country setting yet only 1 HR drive north of Manhattan, NY
-logo must connote a sense of comfort, reliability, trust, security, acessibility, relationships
Please write brief note with future design submissions indicating how your incoporated these principles within design.
