Designer tonik went above and beyond with creativity and delivery. He is an excellent communicator and accommodated all of our requests in alteration and final touches of the design. It was a pleasure to work with someone so professional and talented and we are grateful and pleased to have an amazingly cool logo!
How nothingsTrivial started their logo design journey
A soon to launch internet/mobile emergency contact information service needs a logo. And hopefully other design work in the near future. But first things first...
Company (website) is: MyEC Info (myecinfo.com). A little background on the service provided: MyEC Info provides a secure way to organize emergency contact information and make it available to the appropriate individuals if the need arises.
Our customers will interact directly through the website and through Facebook, iPhone/iPod, and other mobile device apps.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience: Parents first and foremost. However, with both a free and paid/premium service model the service is available to a very large audience (i.e. anyone that could end up in an emergency situation). Hey, even you could benefit, although I hope you would never need to! There is also a premium service for larger groups, companies, and schools.
It would be nice to see some designs that incorporate the name, "MyEC Info", into the logo. But ".com" should not be part of the design. Having the words 'emergency contact info' as part of the design could be an option as well. However, keep in my that having the ability to accommodate smaller sized icons is desirable (e.g. an iPhone or Facebook app icon size). So, a lot of text could be difficult. That said, a 1:1 ratio might work best.
Color scheme: Thinking blues & reds, but in general the palette should evoke the emergency-oriented nature of the service.
Creative use of negative space is always nice if it works cleanly. And of course the ability for the logo to work in monochromatic print is desired.
