How Fundamentals started their logo design journey
I love beautiful, classic jewelry! When I started my business I wanted my customers to have fun while buying my carefully selected pieces, hence, Fun.damentals. I was inspired by the jewelry of New Mexico where I work closely with the designers (I live in Northern California). I belive that a beautiful piece of silver jewelry is "fundamental" to every womans wardrobe...just like a pearl necklace or simple diamond earrings (neither of which I sell).
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Women who love good, classic, high quality jewelry and men looking for a gift are my clients.
By doing trunk shows (quite a trick out of my sports car!) I go to homes or businesses and display my line. I set up with either a rustic motif or use black satin and silver, sometimes both! What makes my trunk shows special is that the customer leaves with their purchase in hand, in a satin gift bag. Other trunk shows have only samples and catalogs and customers wait for their orders to be delivered.
I am going to be using the logo on a website (next project) and hope to use images of old classic steamer trunks. I have photos of my pieces against colored tile, textured fabrics, stones, sand and an old trunk. I want to show both a fun yet classy look (attached are some examples)
No cartoons please.
I have no color limitations currently but if the website is a dark background (such as wood or trunk materials) it might be important that it show well on the site.
I will need the logo to work for all print materials (business cards etc)
and for a website (jpg).
I am looking forward to having that eye-catching logo and working with a designer. Many thanks for your thoughts and ideas!
