Global Youth Village, http://www.globalyouthvillage.org
For the past 32 years, we have been running a life-changing international summer program in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We offer hands-on dynamic workshops in conflict resolution and peace building, global issues. Over 4,000 young people from 105 different countries have laughed, danced, played and worked hard to build a more sustainable world at our program. We believe that well-educated, open-minded, responsible, compassionate young people are the future of our world. Our company has a core group of staff members that have tirelessly worked to make this program a reality. Our program is very, very unique...and I guess that is the 'personality' we are trying to get across.
Young people, ages 14-18. Young people who are budding thinkers and potential activists... interested in creating a better world. Young people who are interested in global issues, diplomacy, etc. and finding creative solutions for pressing problems we face around the world.
We actually like our current logo (multi-racial hands reaching up to take responsibility for their world), but it is too static and has a 1970's feel. Please look at the top right hand corner of our homepage on our website http://www.globalyouthvillage.org to see the current logo. We like the idea of what the logo represents: taking responsibility for the world. We want a logo that says that we are inclusive...that is international/global in nature. The current color (blue) is OK, but could be more exciting. So we don't have too many specifics...just something more up to date...fresh...& more exciting. The attached file shows a new layout for our website that we are currently working on.
