We are a start up business that will provide a multisided platform which connects Service based Businesses with their potential customer base, in the primary form of a directory. But more than that, our brand is our business. The mechanisms we use to connect with our target market may change but our brand will stand true to who we are and how we connect with our target customers.
The ‘Users’ of the site are Brisbane (location in Australia) Women. Aged 30 – 50 – Middle to high income, educated, time poor, career orientated, and will benefit from using our site because the content we deliver allows them to quickly and easily access the information they need to make a purchasing decision / book an appointment.
Words to Describe our Brand
Sassy / Sexy
While our branding needs to be very focused on connecting with the ‘Brisbane Woman’, we need to maintain a level of corporate identity to present a professional image to our potential advertisers.
While not set in stone, with regard to colour, one idea was if the logo allowed us to set it against the various colours in our colour palette. The brand needs to be uniform, but the ability to use it on the brand colours, while maintaining that identity would be great (eg: set to colour #1 background on a business card, but to colour #2 on a marketing brochure etc.
While we are to finalise the design of our website we know it will be clean, fresh and modern, with lots of white space, however there will be lots of imagery that relates to our clients advertising, so the logo needs to be fairly simple and clean also. The site will be busy with imagery, other businesses logos etc, so our logo needs hold its own amongst that noise.
Finally, we are looking for a logo that can be presented both horizontally and vertically (2 versions are fine).
