I really liked the colors and font. What makes the design special is the ">" which goes really well with our line of business.
How PlumProjects started their logo design journey
Plum Projects is a family operated business specialising in custom built new homes, alterations and additions in the Sydney (Australia) metropolitan area. We are by choice a hands on operation limiting the number of projects running concurrently so that we are able to offer a personalised service, attention to detail and deliver a project on time and on budget. We are versatile, multi-skilled and welcome a challenge. We regularly work with architects and designers and can offer a concept to completion service.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Because we specialise in complex, architecturally designed builds we generally try to target the mid to upper end of the market. In our marketing we target both the end client i.e. the home builder or renovator (normally through print advertising) as well as architects and designers.
The bulk of our work comes to us through referrals from architects, designers and project managers, so in practice these groups are the focus of our direct marketing effort.
Our company name is a play on words - 'plum' as in the fruit and 'plumb' as in aligned or straight.
Our current logo tries to combine the fruit and the 'plumb bob' - a builders tool, used for determining alignment. See here http://www.actualityfoundation.org/…jects.html. We like this theme and would encourage designers to try and incorporate this, however we are also open to other suggestions that may not continue this theme.
We need a logo that can be used:
- On a website
- On business cards
- On our site paperwork
- On site uniforms (embroidered or printed)
- On our company vehicles
The logo should:
- Look like a building company logo without being cheesy
- Inspire trust and confidence i.e. by looking professional
- Look good in both full colour and black and white
We would really appreciate your help with this !!!
