BigDayPics got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo/Business Card for Wedding Photographer
Check out BigDayPics's Logo design contest…
I'm seeking a logo that appeals to brides, mostly twenty to thirtysomething, that are looking for a contemporary, artistic approach to their wedding photography. My main use for the logo will be in producing a business card. The logo will also appear on my website.
What's your vision?
Tagline: wedding photography by Charles Colladay (should be subdued) Desired Color Scheme: I'm open to surprises but offer some suggestions in the comments section Desired Style: stylish, contemporary, chic, unique, elegant, classy, fun, fresh, whimsical Accepted File Formats: Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) As a commercial photographer for many years and having recently switched over to shooting weddings, I need a cool new logo as part of my re-branding. While I'm male, my demographic audience is, by a wide margin, female; brides-to-be in their 20's and 30's. I like the way my business name looks without space between the three words BigDayPictures Also like the idea of differentiating, even if it's subtle, between BigDay and Pictures by use of color or ?? I would prefer that BigDay and Pictures are on the same line but if not it should at least read as a single phrase. As noted earlier the tag line should be subdued. The main use for the logo will be in producing a business card so I would be interested seeing how a 2 line street address, phone number and web address would be incorporated into the design. The street address and phone number don't need to be a large size but the web address should be plenty large enough to be easily readable. The logo will also appear on my website. The look of the website will be changing so you don't need to design the logo to look good on the site as it currently looks. Here is the address info for the business card: 4807 Mercury Street Suite F San Diego, CA 92111 (858) 268-9900 www.BigDayPics.com I'm looking forward to all the creative input and will gladly be giving feedback to all contest entrants. Check back to see my ratings for insight into what I'm liking. I thank you in advance and appreciate your time and effort.
