How MattRodMusic started their logo design journey
We are a new music group, Changing Clocks, releasing music within the rock and popular (‘pop’) idioms. To get a feel for what we are about, you may download samples of five songs we have recently finished. Please do not use these for anything other than personal listening http://groups.google.com/group/changingclocks
From the onset, we would like to have a bold, unique and fresh identity encapsulated in this logo.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The logo should reflect the type of music audience that we seek to reach: a general audience who enjoys ‘pop’ music, but an audience who has a level of sophistication and craves a certain element of unorthodoxy.
Popular music with a whim.
The logo will be a prominent feature on our website. It will also be used on promotional posters for shows, at the end of videos (against a black/white background) and as a small identifier (discreetly, perhaps on a corner) on visual media sent to accompany mp3s to music blogs.
The logo should be able to stand on its own as well as together with the words “Changing Clocks”. Alternatively, the logo itself can incorporate first letters or words and work as a single feature.
* Original work only, no derivations.
* A high quality vector will be necessary for scaling purposes.
* We would like the original design file from Photoshop/Illustrator.
* We need full intellectual rights to the logo upon payment.
Please no clocks, clock hands, timing devices etcetera. We are not a clock-repair shop.
Colour suggestions (these are a guideline just to get things rolling, I am open to ideas):
Orange (possibly the wording, should stick out from far), some red
Earthy colours: browns, beige and soft sand colour
Metallic colours, whites, grays
