B42 Digital got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo design for funky, fresh bakery "Vanilla Velvet"

Food & Drink
Vanilla Velvet is a high end, luxury bakery aimed at a corporate customers, events and the general public. Our ultimate aim is to open a business on the high street, but for now we are internet based providing subscription-based cupcake selection packs and other wholesome baked goodies! We're not looking for cartoony clip-art style graphics - we're looking for something which professional organisations will not think twice about buying in to. We will have packaging produced with the logo on it, something that will good when embossed is preferred. We would also like "Vanilla Velvet" to be the primary focus of the logo, with "The" and "Bakery" secondary to this.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth. Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
B42 Digital collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
