tpa_sunshine got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo Design for Tech News Website
Check out tpa_sunshine's Logo design contest…
My blog is going to morph into a tech news website after a redesign of the template and additional content is added. The first step in this endeavor is to come up with a clean, fresh brand/logo for the site. My focus is web 2.0 news right now, but I really don't want the logo/reflection thing because I feel that is overdone and will soon be a dated look. I would prefer vector graphics for the logo.
What's your vision?
Accepted File Formats: vector graphics My website, sarahintampa.com, is currently just a tech blog. However, over the next few months, I will be hiring a designer to create a new template for the site and I will be adding more content (like articles, reviews, and news) to the site so it becomes more of an online destination. I want "sarahintampa" (or "Sarah in Tampa") to be the text in the logo, which I plan on using throughout the site. I am extremely uncreative, so I'm looking for ideas as to how to make this into a cool logo, maybe even a brand. One of my favorite logos is the logo at GigaOM, just to give you an idea of what I like. My tagline will be "Tampa Girl Talks Tech" but I don't know if I would actually want that in the logo or not. Beyond that, I don't have any suggestions or requirements because I don't want to stifle the creativity out there! UPDATE: now that I'm starting to see some of the entries, I'm forming some opinions about what I like. Greens & blues are good. Brighter colors. No black. More web 2.0-y. Thanks everyone for all the entries so far!
