We represent the nation's 50+ state bank regulators in Washington, DC. We consider ourselves a financial regulatory agency. We advocate on our members' behalf before Congress and with our federal counterparts, such as the FDIC and the Federal Reserve. We also train and educate state bank examiners and have developed and launched a licensing system for non-depository residential mortgage providers, such as independent mortgage companies and mortgage brokers. We want to update our old logo and, if possible, to incorporate the work we do beyond just bank supervision. We want to incorporate the mortgage supervision and education and training we also perform.
