AFSIN, Association francophone des spécialistes de l'investigation numérique
AFSIN is the "Association of French speaking digital investigation specialists". It was created in 2007 by expert witnesses, law enforcement specialists and magistrates willing to share information in French about digital investigations.
Our website is at http://www.afsin.org/
AFSIN is a not for profit organisation based in Nancy, France.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our activities are focused on IT forensics and digital investigations. Thus our public are specilists of this technical discipline as well as potential sponsors for our events (national or local governments as well as the industry specialised in providing tools for law enforcement and expert witnesses working in the digital forensic arena).
Our original logo - http://www.afsin.org/ was designed by computer specialists but not professional graphic designers... We want to share a more modern image with our public.
The concepts we want to convey are:
- a digital environment
- investigations, crime scenes
- the usage of the French language (but not centred on the flag of France, our members come from all around the world).
The environment of a digital investigation specialist comprises: computers, the Internet, electronic devices (smart cards, mobile phones, banking cards, GPS), bits and bytes, computer files, hackers and all sorts of criminal activities.
Our project is to have a new logo which will be used on our website (http://www.afsin.org/) and on all printed documents of the organisation.
