Dance Umbrella
I am a professional dancer and teacher of ballet to adults. This is a unique concept as ballet schools are generally focused on children. I have opened a ballet school focused 100% on teaching all ages of adults of all abilities from absolute beginners to advanced and professionals. This is a highly professional school with the best teachers and meticulous attention to care and detail in the execution of training in ballet. A beautifully graceful and elegant art form and the logo must reflect this grace and elegance without kitch or childish reference to ballet but rather a mature and sophisticated look.
Target audience - predominantly women aged between 20 and 50. Those with a love and appreciation of ballet. A cultured clientele. This is a niche concept however the logo and website needs a maturity and simplicity in design. Elegance is key.
I want the logo to either include the words "Dance Umbrella" or just "D U" with a few simple lines - perhaps the suggestion of a dancers leg, arm, foot. Not necessarily the literal umbrella but I am open to an image of an umbrella that encorporates movement symbolic of a dancer. Any dance imagery needs to be of a classical ballet reference - nothing of any other genres - ie jazz tap etc - purely classical ballet.
Classic lines and colours - elegance and simplicity is what appeals to me however I am open to design flair and creativity.
Nothing too young or bold - remember my target audience is female adults with a love and appreciation for ballet.
No hot pink and nothing cliche.
