Logo for Local Business Guide

At this point in the competition we have really zoned in on some of our favourite designs. We are still open to new suggestions, but at this stage, we are zoning in on designs with a witty, clever graphic incorporated into the logo, or a character which displays personality. NOTE: If you feel that designing a character is not where your talent lies then don't worry! We are still highly interested in logos which do not have characters. Simply design a logo which you feel will reflect your best work. In fact, we would probably also like you to design a logo without a character which focuses on the words "Local Business Guide", just so we can keep our options open. We are looking for a unique logo for http://www.localbusinessguide.com.au the new logo should NOT reflect the current sites look and theme! Looking for a simple, unique, funky, modern logo!

We've looked at some of the logos that contain magnifying glasses, and are thinking that the magnifying glass concept is a bit too close to one of our competitors. We would be very happy to see some more designs without a magnifying glass involved! Good luck guys.  We are looking for a unique logo for www.localbusinessguide.com.au  Do NOT use the way the site looks as a template for the new logo as we plan to change the look of the entire site.  We are looking for a logo that is simple, yet memorable – something that will stick in your memory, so use your imagination!  We are not looking necessarily for a professional feel. Probably funky and modern is the way to go.   Experiment with color… a multi-colored logo would be cool, however feel free to do whatever you feel is best.  Other ideas include (but don’t have to use – in fact a variety of different logos to choose from would be the best for us) having a cute character holding a brief case.. etc
