Loparka's design was originally a contender in a contest I ran here a couple years ago. I always liked and remembered her design but was talked into awarding the original win to someone else. I regret this for the last few years and finally got in touch with her to make it right, and pay her for her excellent work! It is elegant, well composed, beautiful to look at and just the right touch of classic and modern. Mahalo Nui Loa from Hawaii!
How Thesingingclassroom started their logo design journey
The Singing Classroom
I am an experienced music teacher and choral conductor, and with some collaborators, I have been working on this site for years. It's finally ready to launch, and I need a great logo! In essence, the site provides tons of songs, music games, materials, lesson plans, and approaches to teaching music and singing to children. The site should feel friendly and approachable, but also sophisticated.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Although the site is about children's music, it is geared towards adults. Our audience is music teachers, classroom teachers, and parents who home-school or just want to do music at home with their kids. We expect about 90% of our users to be women.
• The logo should have the words "The Singing Classroom"
• Given that most of our audience is adult women, the logo should be
pretty, but not too childish. So, no cartoons, but flowers, music notes, or something representing a classroom would be good.
• Again, we're aiming for friendly and approachable, but also sophisticated.
