RayGo got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Online Survey Service
Check out RayGo's Logo design contest…
A new website called "L.U.B it!" will offer a simple way to use advanced tools for conducting online surveys. We're seeking a logo that would, at the same time be simple, slick and relaxed/friendly.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Transparent background Desired Style: On both light and dark backgrounds Accepted File Formats: Vector format The concept behind the 3 letters is to convey the message that any endeavor (business, personal, for profit, non-profit), needs to be fed info/data and insights resulting from a thorough analysis, in order to function as a well oiled/lubricated machine and thrive. All in easy, simple and intuitive ways. The feel conveyed should be something palpable, approachable and non intimidating while remaining professional. Feel free to use the 3 letters with or without dots but they should all 3 either be upper or lower case. And the name with or without the exclamation point. The tag line should be visible but not overpower the logo as the name and its concept should be the focus. (See what the 3 letters stand for at 2k2inc.com) Avoid very literal concepts and try to make it as subtle, but quickly understandable, as possible. Think Apple elegance mingling with Google simplicity. Out of this logo one should be able to "extract" a mascot that could be used as an icon or guide throughout the future site: think about the "annoying" little Microsoft figure that pops out in certain MS office programs that is supposed to help. Think also about setting it up for possible application of a flash animation to the logo and the mascot, although that's not what's needed at the moment. This logo needs to first stand on its own in a static manner. Fit for both print and web. Need this logo on both dark and light backgrounds. A couple background articles are available at: http://ehlt.flinders.edu.au/education/iej/articles/v1n2/DIX/BEGIN.HTM (A bit dated but good) http://www.ecommerce-guide.com/article.php/3632576 I am offering 3 prizes: 1st place: $350, 2nd: $150 and 3rd: $50
