Interchange: a training in Radical Counseling
I run a year long counseling training in San Francisco called Interchange: a training in Radical Counseling. The training is a non-academic route for people to develop counseling skills in an experiential, community-oriented educational setting.
The training takes place over 10 intensive weekends, and students spend a lot of time taking turns counseling each other.
There are two main groups: people who are considering careers in counseling and coaching, or who are new to the field, and young, hip, urban types who are conscious and into working on themselves.
We also attract people in professions like teaching, bodywork, or health care who want to improve their counseling skills so they can be even more effective in their current careers.
I am in need of a logo for my website. I am revamping the whole site, so the site's other visual elements can be changed to match the logo. (I may be interested in working with you on other elements of site design if I really like the logo.) I will probably also use it in print ads, but the focus is for the web. The logo could consist solely of well-used font elements, though a good image or symbol would be even better.
My preference is for simple and clean designs. If there is an image or symbol, it shouldn't be random, but should have some clear relevance to the name or the content of the training. I imagine something with two faces or people talking to each other could work, but I lack the artistic imagination to visualize *how* it could work.
Attached is the inadequate logo I have been using for some time. The separation of "inter" from "change" and the title/subtitle format may be worth keeping.
Ideally, I will be able to take the logo and convert it so instead of "inter" and "change", the words will be "steve" and "bearman", my name. Then I can have my personal site and my training's site share the same look and feel.
I will need an illustrator file of the logo to work with.
