The old logo was a do-it-yourself job designed by committee. It was recently linked to a 99 designs competition as how a logo should not look. Here's a chance to show creativity with few restraints.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The original logo was designed by a couple of people agreeing on what looked the best from an initial set of ideas. It did the job of not taking up too much time in the early stages, but the company is going now and needs a fresh new logo to help seek new markets and clients with a more professional presentation.
The company does software development for a worldwide set of clients. The company also sells software products. The logo needs to appeal primarily to the business-to-business market.
The existing logo uses the tag line 'smart business solutions' but this is being dropped. Because of the different lines of business (software development, software products, consulting services) it would be useful if these different tag lines could be shown interchangeably in the same position.
Apart from that, all I want is an appealing design that looks fresh, modern and professional. The design language introduced in the logo will be reflected in a total website redesign to coincide with a website re-launch.
- A simple, clean logo using the colours of red, blue and white. Perhaps a bit of black for highlights. I think stick to sans-serif fonts. The official company font is Tahoma, though this doesn't necessarily have to be used on the logo. The colours are #3e6da3, #d7143f
- The logo needs to be suitable for use on the website, business cards and in external links on other people's sites. It should be rectangular in shape, though it doesn't need a border
- The logo should use the brand name 'ifinity'. The current logo uses iFinity as the case, but I'm open to suggestions on the case of the letters.
