We're a young but experienced team of entrepreneurs who are getting ready to launch a new side project called "Crocodoc". Crocodoc makes it insanely easy to upload a PDF or other document through our home page, and get back a short URL that can be shared with others. Recipients can use the URL to view the document online and highlight text, and add notes, comments, and other annotations. All notes are shared between recipients, so everyone can see everyone else's annotations.
Crocodoc is like bit.ly, Scribd, and MyStickies all in one!
We are targeting a generally professional/consumer audience including lawyers, analysts, marketing professionals, academics, and consultants. We want our logo to be crisp and professional, but have a fun and memorable feel to it.
One thing we thought of was to have the logo contain some semblance of a crocodile, and have green be the main color (or at least a prominent color). We'd thought about possibly having the crocodile eating a document, but that's up to you.
We want the logo to be simple, crisp, and stylish. Most of the logos here fit that description well (although some are on a bit too much on the conservative side): http://www.smashingmagazine.com/200…ive-logos/
A few other notes:
- The logo should be set on a white background
- Feel free to use the text "Crocodoc" or "crocodoc" -- we're not set on any particular capitalization
