Logo to spark interest of tourists, gadget lovers, and geeks

I'm an internet entrepreneur starting a real-life retail shop for the very first time selling gadgets and other geeky stuff I love myself.

The shop will be located in Veere, The Netherlands. I will forgive you if you don't know it. It's a small and very historic small town which attracts many tourists in the summertime: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veere

In my store I will sell gadgets, hence the name 'so many gadgets'. I'm selling items like you would find on thinkgeek.com or in a Brookstone. Think of remote controlled cars, helicopters and boats, fun remote controls, nifty signs, LED gadgets, lifestyle stuff like cool clocks, watches, etc. etc.

I'm looking for a logo that will stand out, looks sleek and modern, and is highly recognizable. Tourists visit the town usually only once so I need something that makes an impact when they first see it. Don't be afraid to use something cool, humorous or sleek.

The logo will be used on signs, shirts and plastic bags and perhaps on some products as well.

Tourists, mainly. They usually rummage aimlessly around our beautiful town looking to be entertained and hopefully find a place to buy cool gadgets.

Secondly, geeks and gadget lovers just like myself! (and maybe you?)

Usually they are people who visit the town only once. So any extra impact I can make with a logo is very welcome.

I want to use red in the logo because I use that as an accent color in the shop interior. It's not yet a specific color, so you do have some freedom in what type of red you want to use, but make sure it's an eye catching color (think fire trucks!).

If you want to use additional colors besides red in the logo, go right ahead!

Solid color logo and font are preferred - but not required. If it serves a purpose gradients are okay.

Currently the brand name 'so many gadgets' is lowercase but you are welcome to use capitals or uppercase IF it serves a purpose.

Preferably I would like the logo in a square style (short) to use on the windows, flags, t-shirts, and bags. If you can make a seperate version in horizontal style (long stretched) it deserves extra kudos (but short / square has the #1 priority).

Make the logo simple and eye-catching. It should be logo that makes you want to find or enter the store just because the logo is so cool and attractive ;-)

The files I would like to get are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg or .png and layered .psd (RGB)
Vector File format

If you use a standard font type please include the font file.
