beanstream got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo update needed
Check out beanstream's Logo design contest…
Our company, Beanstream Electronic Commerce Inc. is updating its look and feel. While we can't change the essence of our logo, we need to update it to be current and also to stand the test of time.
What's your vision?
Tagline: electronic payment processing Desired Color Scheme: green and blue (or just green) Desired Style: update of original - to stand the test of time Accepted File Formats: Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai) Our logo was designed quite a while ago and is looking dated. We need to keep the general format; the name, followed by the bean; but we'd like to change the feel of it. Initially the concept was that we are a payment processing solution that thought 'outside of the box', that wasn't as big and stodgy as banks or the larger financial institutions - we were real people that you could pick up the phone and call. These days we are bigger and the 'stability', 'reliability', and 'security' represented by banks and institutions is a message that warrants conveying. While we are still a smaller company and you can talk to us on the phone etc, we need to develop a more professional, stable, and reliable look without loosing the brand recognition we already have. We want to keep the green and lose the red. The red can be replaced by blue if you want to add a second color. The bean? Ideally some small tweaks to update him would be good, but we are open to looking at other perspectives. Font can (should) change and definitely be brought down to a baseline (not JuMPiNg ArOuNd). It is important that if you do something heavily stylized (like web 2.0) that you also show it stripped back so that we can evaluate how it will stand up to the test of time. Could possibly lead to other work. Current logo can be seen here: http://www.beanstream.com/website/graphics/header_logo.jpg Website: http://www.beanstream.com (about to be re-done) Â
