We are looking for a logo that will set the stage for our entire online presence.
We want to maintain a business professional appearance but still have a cutting edge modern feel. We do not want to have too much Web 2.0 influence, however, a small influence will be considered.
With the 2 distinct domains, but very similar word structure and appearance, we believe it should be simple to interchange "solutions" with "strategies".
2 distinct logos ARE NOT REQUIRED. They are optional if the designer wishes to include one for each domain within the stated budget.
Feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will need to be scalable and usable for both print and online.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
NOTE: If you believe any of these requirements are beyond the scope of the original design brief or they present any kind of hardship for you, please let us know. We do not wish to cause any difficulties for any designers.
As the contest has progressed, we have been discussing what we would like delivered from the contest winner.
We are looking to also have a distinctive graphic that will serve as branding for the company. It will be used strategically throughout our on-line presence (icons, headers, footers, backgrounds, etc).
We do not use in-house graphic design software other than Gimp at this time. We have had difficulty with PNG files not being layered properly in the past, however, if this can be overcome, we are not opposed to PNG files. Other formats are also acceptable if they can be easily manipulated within Gimp.
We have also decided to create 2 separate organizations webMsolutions.com and webMstrategies.org with the same logo design with variation only in color and distinction with .com verses .org.
We will use the logo primarily on-line, but also for print material (business cards, stationary, brochures, etc). File formats must be provided accordingly.
We are not completely familiar with font licensing requirements, however, we expect the designer to fulfill any font licensing needs, rasterizing, etc. accordingly.
The items we wish to receive include:
- Primary logos for webMsolutions.com and webMstrategies.org
- White (not grey or tan or anything else) background version
- Black (glossy) background version
- White on black
- Black on white
- Reflections version (if appropriate on white and black backgrounds)
- Icons - various options
Again, PLEASE NOTE: If you believe any of these requirements are beyond the scope of the original design brief or they present any kind of hardship, please let us know. We do not wish to cause any difficulties for any designers.
Thank you all for your submissions. We are excited by what has been provided thus far.
