ncrice got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Need a logo for a Web Company
Check out ncrice's Logo design contest…
I need a logo design for the word "elevate". The details about the company need to remain undisclosed for certain reasons, but the concept of "raising the bar" and "taking things to a new level" and "on the way up".
What's your vision?
OK, in order to give you guys the best idea of the design I need, I'll try to be as clear as possible. I'm pretty open to different fonts, colors, styles, etc., so feel free to be creative with this. Here are the specifics: This company operates in the tech/web field. We are really wanting to make people rethink the old business models, and really take the whole market to a new level. New ideas, new business models, new features, elevating the entire community. The logo should reflect this idea. Going up, raising the bar, setting a new standard, etc. You get the idea. A mark is preferred, but not necessary. If you do include a mark (as I would prefer), please use either the "e" or the "v" (I would prefer the "v"), and make the mark part of the word. I don't want the mark to be separate or beside the word "elevate", I actually want it to be part of the word itself. One idea is to make the "v" into an upward arrow, maybe surrounded by a circle with the arrow extending out of the circle. (that's just an idea, so please try to venture outside of that one suggestion). If you don't use a mark, per se, then please make the logo still convey the overall message of the "elevate" concept, but please don't make it look cheesy or corny. It NEEDS to look professional, not kiddy. Colors aren't important, but steer clear of anything that may make the logo look too unprofessional. If anything is unclear in this description, please leave a comment and I will try to clarify.
- Modern, professional look - Creative colors - Good professional font choices - Clear representation of the brand concept - I prefer a mark with either the "e" or "v" (see description) - Logos without a mark need to be professionally done, yet still represent the brand concept.
- flashy, glossy, or otherwise obnoxious designs - funky fonts that look unprofessional - a mark that is not part of the word "elevate" - colors that look unprofessional
