sandyut got their new logo design by running a design contest:
'Microwave Marketing' Logo
Check out sandyut's Logo design contest…
I need a logo for 'Microwave Marketing', a newsletter for entrepreneurs that provides step-by-step instructions on how to implement various marketing strategies. The emphasis is on 'we'll show you HOW to do it, FAST'.
What's your vision?
Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) The tagline is: "Instant, Ready-to-Use Marketing 'Recipes' for FAST Results' hence the link with a microwave oven. All of the marketing tips in each issue can be implemented in 30 minutes or less, again linking it to the speed of a microwave. The logo should be some kind of symbol that conveys: Instant, Fast, Cutting-Edge etc. Perhaps a microwave oven timer, showing '00:30' on the display, or 'microwave waves', or text that says '30 Mins Max'. It's very important that the logo conveys SPEED. This is where your creativity and imagination will be rewarded! The tagline does not need to be in the logo as it is quite long. The design style should not be formal, stiff or corporate, nor should it be goofy. It should convey 'easy & fun'. I have no preferences as to color, fonts etc but the logo will be used on a variety of formats so it needs to be easily printed and it MUST look good in black and white. The background should be white.
