MM is a new software company that helps move (migrate) people from their big expensive old IBM mainframes to affordable Windows-based servers. They save money and move into the future, in one fell swoop. We provide consulting and software to facilitate the process.
Our typical customer is a CIO or CTO for a fortune 1000 company, so a little stuffy/stodgy. But at MM, we like to have fun. For example, I was thinking of putting a picture of me dressed up like a pirate for my Bio (probably not a great idea). But, fun is good!
Our customers are looking to save money (mainframes are expensive), and their COBOL programmers are getting old and retiring. We help them over the hump. Customer service is very important to us.
One idea would be to use some sort of wings for the M's in Migration Mentors, the wings evoking the image of geese migrating. Perhaps even a cartoon goose? Obviously just random ideas from a wardrobe challenged geek, so take it with a grain of salt. Variations on that or totally new ideas are welcome.
