InsightNG - for Next Generation Insights
Our new company provides next generation products and solutions for individuals or groups of individuals to harness knowledge, experience and networks to provide telling insights which drive and lead to better, faster, more relevant decisions and solve situational needs (e.g. planning a vacation, climbing mount Kilimanjaro, merger / acquisition).
We call the solution "Informed Navigation" and here is what it is about:
The Internet leverages the power of what we know (post) and what we can find out (search). Networks leverage the power of who we know (connect). Informed Navigation combines these three functions to tap into what we can accomplish together, based on our collective knowledge. Informed Navigation lets users get beyond existing superficial network connections.
It defines the role each of us plays in helping each other achieve goals, providing real-time access to what others know that you need to know in context - organizing this user-generated content behind the scenes in a simple way - to inform decision-making, benefiting both users and providers.
Informed Navigation is not about searching, but finding; not about access, but sharing. It is not about telling, but showing. It is about collective involvement to form understanding and telling insight. It recognizes that human beings do not seek and utilize information as individuals, but as trusted communities.
The solutions will be offered through a Software as a Service model, so the target market segments are as follows:
1. Individuals (personal as in consumers and business as in professionals)
2. Work Groups (i.e. communities of practice)
3. Enterprise; and
Industry vertical solutions will also be targeted for areas where specific domain vocabularies, knowledge and expertise are present (e.g. Investigative Reporting/Journalism, Research Institutes, Financial Services, Government and Defence).
We are looking for a logo that is global in nature, can convey our brand to different cultures around the world and be able to work well with a new website, stationary/business cards, PowerPoint templates etc. It needs to be powerful and bold, yet simple and memorable.
Although our solutions are next generation in nature and delivered through a Software as a Service business model, we don't want anything technical or futuristic for a logo. We want simple shapes and few colors.
We'd like to see the logo and brand name together as well as apart, so the logo needs to stand on its own.
The core concepts that you can draw from, in terms of their meaning, for visual affects are:
4. Collective Intelligence
Although we used the word Navigation in the current solution, we are not so sure that using that concept in the logo would make sense as we don't want people to think we have anything to do with physical navigation (i.e. TomTom etc.).
We have attached two user personas for you to review, that represent two target user groups we are currently engaging with.
Be creative, be innovative and wow us with your imagination!
