How Meg_groves started their logo design journey
I'm a 48 year old woman. I have a masters degree in social work and I've worked in human services administration for 20 years. I've been fortunate to be very successful in my career and learned a great deal about helping people and running a business. I'm now finishing my yoga teacher and life coaching certification and I am going to open a yoga studio that becomes a center for people to come together, practice yoga and then take what they get out into the world so they can be powerful, fulfilled human beings.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My yoga business will primarily offer Vinyasa power yoga. It will appeal to men and women. It's not gentle yoga. It's a style of yoga that helps students tap into their inner "warrior," and find "their edge". It encourages freedom, opening up and transformation and will emphasize mind, body and spiritual practices. The target audience is people who come to their yoga mat to take yoga and their life seriously, but they don't take themselves too seriously. Yoga and fun do mix together.
I want a classy design or simple elegance. Given the name - Our Yoga Mat - I could see a Mat somewhere in the logo design but not mandatory. I don't want a cute logo.
Open to variety of color schemes - prefer bold and earthy or bright colors over pastel. One color is acceptable or a multitude of colors (BUT preferably an unpredictable mixture of colors). I attached some sample color schemes below.
