How Adrian Cristea started their logo design journey
Adrian Cristea Photography
I am a 30 y o romanian photographer that needs to stand out from the fellow crowd photographers. I use to shoot events, mainly weddings and christenings but i also do portraits, corporate and indoors photography.
I am trying to get through this business without a website for quite a while but it`s been hard without one. But before the website, i need to have a logo. My brand. When i have my logo i will start building the website and my blog.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Future clients (60-70% women), basically 20-50 y old, starting with future weds, parents and ending with business clients for corporate shots or business event organisers. The women must fall in love with the logo and the men should like it enough to forward the link to friends and families, saying what great photographer they chose.
I need you to design my logo as if it were for your own business !
I like the type of logos that have like "adrian" and "cristea" with different thickness and fonts, but the fonts need to say: "event photography". You can try mild loops and curves in font as long is easily readable.
I dont want common used symbols like aperture, cameras etc
I want a symbol that is classy and stilished yet simplistic, fresh, cool, hip and must tickle a bit the 65% lady clientelle. I tried one with my initials "A" and "C" and tried to mix them up of some sort but failed miserably. Is not mandatory that the symbol to be with my initials.
I like fades and even glows. I like gradients too but i feel like it takes the meaning of the logo away from my photography business.
The colors should be some that mix perfectly as yellow-white-dark grey, orange-white-black, turquoise, light green blow me away. I don`t want more that 3 colors, tops, you can do with 2 as well.(something like http://www.adriancristea.ro )
Based on my logo, i will make the website and blog on the same colors so dont throw some colors that can make photography websites look at least akward.
I will use this logo on stationeries, watermarking and social platforms
I'll need the logo in a vector format for scaling and also a large raster file, maybe 8.5x11 canvas at 300 dpi in psd format. I also want the font for it please.
