Photolight Studio http://www.photolightstudio.com (not live yet)
I am a female photographer who has specialized in Weddings, Portraits, and Commercial work.
I have also done other types of photography band, food, travel, architecture.
I am creating a new website and have just changed my business name to create a global brand to represent all of my photographic interests.
I have recently purchased a website from Big Folio.
http://www.bigfolio.com called Burnside Street. There are many things that can be customized in that website color background fonts etc so you can get an idea of that as well from going to their website, clicking on websites tab and viewing examples of that template and taking the video tour.
This link can show you the design specifications.
My target audience will be anyone who needs photographic services!
It will initially be wedding/portrait/babies-children which I already have a target audience for.
But I plan on marketing for other types of work for example headshots for actors, bands, theatre, dance, etc.
Selling some of my art prints in a shopping cart system also.
I am very open to ideas at this point.
I want something artistic color is good.
I have not yet chosen a color theme for my website but if I go with a logo color I would probably incorporate that with the website.
I like colors but could also go with black and white depending on design. I don't want anything cheesy like a camera logo etc more conceptual graphic images and or playing with the name itself.
Fonts I am open to various fonts and have always liked cursive/calligraphy style fonts like Mistral but again don't limit yourself. As I see more I will let you know what I like.
I am not looking for a conservative corporate image.
Feel free to go out of the box and let's see where it leads.
I want a logo that can be interpreted for my studio that would be seen as appropriate for a company head shot as well as a jazz band cover or a brides wedding.
I chose my studio name as both spiritual and creative. Photo representing the obvious and light representing the spirit and the main element to making a dynamic and interesting photograph.
Photography after all is painting with light.
I will initially be using this on my website and on my photo's (for web & blog) and eventually will need to design a business card, stationary and other brand materials.
Feel free to ask me questions and as I see what comes I will respond with my thoughts.
