I'm an amateur photographer who recently discovered a new style of photography known as "HDR Photography". (HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range".)
I'm wanting to launch a new website, which will feature my latest hdr pictures, so I thought I'd try out 99designs.com to see what the talented designers could come up with for me.
My target audience would be mostly other photographers who have a growing interest in hdr photography. Although I would imagine the site will be visited by others with no interest in photography, but enjoy looking at my snapshots.
I'm looking for a logo with dimensions of 350 width x 100 height. The logo should be the actual domain name, which is:
I'd like the ".com" to be in a smaller font than the rest of the logo title.
I've attached a screenshot of the current website so you can see the colors that are being used. Please be sure to design something that complements the current colors. If for some reason the attached file doesn't work for you, the live site at http://www.hdrphotographyblog.com shows the current template being used.
HDR Photography is a style of photography that is processed by taking 3 exposures of the same scene and then merging them together via a post-processing process in Photoshop. The 3 pictures consist of an underexposed image (dark), and normal exposed image (just right), and an overexposed image (bright). I'd like the logo to somehow play off of that process. An idea would be to have portions of the logo underexposed/dark, portions looking normal, and portions that are overexposed/bright.
To the left of the logo, I'd like to have a silhouette of a photographer looking into a camera that is on a tri-pod. If you look at the file I attached, you'll see that there is currently an icon next to the "crystaline" logo. This is the area I'd like the silhouette image to be placed.
Aside from the logo being the actual domain name, feel free to use your creativity and come up with something totally different than what I've described. (that's all I could come up with since I'm not very creative.)
