Quiver
We are in the process of launching a new e-commerce web / SaaS application at http://www.quivercommerce.com. (still trying to get quiver.com)
We need a modern / SaaS logo to represent our e-commerce service, the key themes are user-friendly e-commerce tool (think Shopify or Big Cartel or something like MailChimp but for e-commerce if not familiar) meets the i-tunes app store for mega-trend e-commerce add-on modules and themes such as social commerce, time-sensitive sales, bidding sites, customizable / marketplace products, (think Groupon, Gilt, BidCatcus, etc.) Themes are visually appealing, easy-to-customize, and tailored to specific industries & use cases.
The various themes and functionality modules you add are the tools you have at your disposal or in your "Quiver" to build a compelling and differentiated online business.
We need a killer logo that does a good job representing this business concept. We envision the site and software to be very clean, uncluttered and intuitive. We like the stylish / innovative type branding of Apple / i-phone
We would target both entrepreneurs, SMB as well as channel partners who offer e-commerce and marketing products & services to their clients. Our target market would be similar to the Shopify segment, a customer who wants a highly professional web application but who is sophisticated enough to use / implement it on a DIY-basis. We'd potentially be looking to go upstream from there to larger clients / partners who can utilize our software application, but where we provide limited services in the areas of creative design, marketing and strategy and ongoing promotion / site management. So, our logo needs to have a friendly & accessible yet progressive & professional balance.

The obvious idea here is a quiver with some arrows, but we'd like to encourage some creativity around this theme. We'd like to have something that is intuitive both with the name Quiver spelled out + an icon. Something that incorporates the idea of adding various elements to a collection or building on top of a platform with various pieces. Secondarily, the ability to customize the app to your specific market needs as an entrepreneur / business owner. In surfing, they talk about a Quiver as being a bunch boards from which you select the exact right fit for a given break / wave size....this imagery / analogy works well too. Finally, the idea that you'd use our software service to "hit the mark / bulls-eye" or "bag a bounty". It doesn't have to be literal either, just communicate an overall vibe....empowering entrepreneurs to be more competitive and get results. One more thought....we like the letter "Q" and think it has some branding potential as part of the logo.
