The Rotunda Foundation is the charity arm of the Rotunda Hospital, the oldest continually operating maternity hospital in the world. The Rotunda Foundation funds research, equipment and facilities.
Other color requirements
CMYK Colours: 100,100,0,0 : 40,100,0,0 : 100,0,20,0 : 0,60,100,0 : These are the colours of the existing Rotunda Hospital logo
We have included the current Rotunda Hospital logo. The four colours represent different areas / specialities: Maternity Care, Gynaecological Care, Neonatal Care Administrative / General Care. What we are looking for is a reworking / re-imagining of the Rotunda Hospital logo for The Rotunda Foundation, distinct from the hospital logo but also recognisable as associated with the hospital. Originally the Foundation was known as "The Friends of the Rotunda" and had the pram with the heart in it as it's logo (file included). We would like to retain a heart in some form. However, there should be no baby or pram in your design. This is because unfortunately not all pregnancies have good outcomes and it can be very distressing for the bereaved to see images of babies in the logo. The heart serves the purpose of conveying care in this instance, whereas to a new mother it will convey their new baby's heart. The dummy text slogan is important. We have not decided on a slogan yet, but there will be one at some stage which we imagine to be about 6 words long. We think that using the same font and possibly layout for the Foundation name as in the Hospital logo will give us the connection we need between the two, but are open to other ideas. Unfortunately we don't know the font used in the logo since the hospital can only find it as the eps enclosed. We may animate the logo online and will need the finished logo to be comprised of it's individual elements (ai / psd) rather than just a flattened version (pdf / eps). The word rotunda means a round building or room with a dome. This is where the circle element of the hospital logo originates. While the Rotunda Hospital has a long history the research here is at the forefront of research globally, thus we have a mix of tradition and modern that we would ideally like to reflect. As in the hospital logo, the modern is the main focus. We don't want to be more specific at this point because we are relying on your imagination on how to achieve our aim. Feel free to ask any questions.
