Adam's Egg
We are a brand new boutique research consultancy by the name of Adam's Egg.
We need you to help us build our identity in the most creative and visually rich way.
What do we do?
Our job is to investigate and understand people, trends and culture. We birth ideas that help brands do and say meaningful and exciting things.
We do this by uncovering how people and cultures (around the world) feel about a given topic and then thinking about what it means for our client and their brands.
So for example, if a booze company wants to know about what's going on with whisky in Asia, we might go out drinking with salarymen in Japan to see what they get up to, we might hire anthropologists to tell us about the cultural meanings of drinking, we might speak to bartenders about the latest cocktails - our basic approach is deliberately diverse.
We envision our agency as a kind of 'Curiosity Shop' – full of all kinds of information, ideas and inspiration.
Our Curiosity Shop has an international feel, is globally eclectic, collective, playful, crafted, intelligent, surprising, individual, inviting, inspiring and adventure-filled.
A broad range of clients from cutting-edge advertising agencies to huge global companies.
We work with some of the world's top brands - clients such as Absolut, Adidas, Apple, Axe, Dove, Gatorade, Heineken, SONY.
So that means stylish and professional are givens. We need to feel worthy and equal partners in this context - but as a young company, more dynamic, a little more creative and a touch cooler.
Our clients need to get that our agency is unique, independently minded and will deliver fresh, exciting thinking for their brand - and there can be lots of ways to do this...
We've uploaded some logos, styles and competitive context as reference to what we think could work...
Initially - a logo - then likely our website.
The logo will need to live in many different contexts (web, business cards, tweets/email footers, powerpoint presentations) so can't be too imposing/complex.
We are open and interested in looking at two options -
I) Stand alone icon plus the name
II) Name with a tagline (placeholder 'The Curiosity Shop')
We currently are very OPEN on how this will turn out - we're expecting some great ideas and don't want to limit things.
However, some initial ideas we had as start points & thought sparkers...
The name itself could be the anchor, obviously
The whole 'Curiosity Shop' idea - so CREATIVITY and CURIOSITY are big themes for us...
We like magic, exploration, creation, wisdom.
The work we do is a blend of art and science.
Eggs
The Garden of Eden may be interesting
Related to the above, a main role of ours is 'Growing Ideas'
Unrelated but true... ultimately, we're brains for hire
Watchouts...
The challenge will be to make sure that Adam's Egg does not feel stuck in an 'olde worlde' time warp. We are about fresh new ideas. We're not averse to retro-cool Victoriana, but at the end of the day, it's got to be a Modern Curiosity Shop.
So we can't be too staid, overly quaint or eccentric. We can't go too far off the deep end in terms of playfulness – we ultimately need to be taken seriously.
