Seven did a great job of nailing down a great design right from the beginning. I had some minor adjustments made but the overall design really captured what I wanted in the brief. The communication and revision process was very easy. Keep an eye out for their designs in your contest. Highly recommended.
How Christopher Buchino started their logo design journey
We are building a web app to help businesses make great hiring decisions through online skill assessment tests.
We have a logo currently but it does not really stand out. It doesn't have the "wow" factor and the colors are problematic - see skilltesting.com/portal
We want a logo that will give our brand a cool, meaningful identity.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our audience is 100% online users. We will sell to businesses that are hiring as well as to recruiters that are helping businesses hire.
We want a design that can stand alone without the company name (like a twitter icon, for example). It will typically have SkillTesting.com in it though.
Needs to look good on white business card.
Colors should be soft on the eyes, yet not boring.
I'm not a big fan of green as a dominant color.
Test. Rate. Hire. is our tagline so i'd like to see logos with this tag in it and without it.
You can see our existing logo at skilltesting.com/portal
Initials (like ST) are not necessarily bad if done right but we would like to see things that present an image of skill testing. For instance:
- lightbulbs (intelligence)
- checkmarks (grading)
- darts (hitting a bullseye with the perfect hire)
- something that stands out of a crowd
- a rare find
