How myearthship started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Field Station Farms
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Field Station Farms is the "doing business as" name of a high-end landscaping company which also operates an organic and pasture-based cattle and poultry farm in Virginia. We have almost no online presence and have previously run our landscape company under a different name. We would like a logo that incorporates our name so that both businesses can unify to maximize our client reach. We target all of the 35-70 year old demographics, focusing on lower-upper to upper-upper income level customers who spend on average of $1,000-$10,000 or more annually with our landscaping company.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Art & Design
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Aquas: Empathy, compassion, clarity and precision.
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like the design to be simple and bold, and most likely circular. It must be easily recreated onto t-shirts, stickers, etc. We already have a beautiful, custom-drawn emblem, but it is too complex for embroidery and truck decals. We need something simple and easy-to-read that fits in with the modern "local food" movement crowd--rustic yet refined is often the style which is chosen these days, right? This logo must have our name written largely, as it will need to be legible on the side of a dump truck, etc, when we go to work every day as a landscaping business. We have made a very rough sketch of our favorite idea; we like including our name on one side of the margin (left justified) and the new moon crescent on the other, with a circular feel to the logo--circular with the same feel as General Electric's blue logo. Since we are changing names, the new moon feels appropriate as it is a recycling of the same business with a new identity. I would say not a lot of detail on the moon or anything really, almost just a solid silhouette. Just simple and classy and that's it. We are also open to other ideas.... Thanks a lot.
