How RGI started their logo design journey
Hi All. My name is Lisa. I am a graphic designer who is swamped!! I have a new logo design project that I need to source out and I'm hoping you guys can come up with something cool that I can use for my client. This project is aimed at parents, but even more to high school kids. It's a program that talks to kids about how to be their personal best and for parents about how to balance their teen's limits and freedoms. They bring in speakers who motivate and help tweens and teen navigate through the hellish teen years. This is run by the parent's orgaization, but is aimed at the kids... so the design needs to be current and a little edgy, but still readable and not too over the top. This logo will be used on posters, mailings, banners and for other events throughout the year (so don't go with the Jamaican bobsled theme please -- that's a one time deal). Can't wait to see your ideas!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Middle and highschool aged kids in Westchester County, New York (and their parents to a lesser extent). Think MTV more than Nickelodeon. Needs to be current, a little funky and fun. Needs to be able to be readable at small (letterhead/stationery), Medium (save the date cards) and Large (banners) sizes.
Logo ideas, preferably done in Illustrator CS4 or earlier, or Photoshop CS4 or earlier (layered files, not flat please), please include fonts as well. Needs to be minimum of 300dpi and can be full color.
