Jon Evans got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Springy Web Ltd. - logo and web site
Check out Jon Evans's Logo design contest…
We are a new software development company, looking for a logo and website. The company name is Springy Web Ltd., and our domain name is springyweb.com. Please note the competition is effectively closed now as we have chosen a logo, and there were no entries for the web site. Further competitions for a web site and stationery will be created in due course. Thank you to everybody for your participation.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Autumnal, see image link in description Desired Style: a bit grunge, but still clean & readable Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) Happy New Year everybody! We are a UK based software development company, designing web-based applications. The first aspect of the competition is to design a logo for Springy Web. The logo just needs to include the two words Springy Web. Things we absolutely do not want to see: a spring and a spider's web. Thanks. :) The logo should be supplied in a vector format. Second, we need a web site template. We have found an image which we quite like. We like the grunge style of the image, and we think the autumnal colour scheme would work for the site. The logo can take design ideas and colour scheme from the image as well, although obviously it's a logo so we only want one or two spot colours, and it should still work in black & white. Back to the web site, the main page needs to come with CSS for a blog-style list of recent news items. Menu items required: Home, About Us, Blog, Customer Login. We'd prefer most of the design to come from CSS, with a minimum of graphics. CSS-based layout as well please, no tables. In practise it will be CMS-generated, so the "article excerpt" block needs to be repeatable any number of times (within reason) down the page We also require an "article" page template, which will be a similar style to the main page except it will have a single block of text & optional image content. CSS styles should be provided for headings, inline images with the text (including image caption text), ul and ol lists, and a style for pull quotes. The overall page should be fixed width, floating horizontally in the middle of the viewport. All should be written to favour standards-compliant browsers and be valid XHTML 1.0, but please verify that it looks OK in IE as well. As we are in the UK, payment via electronic transfer probably only works to UK banks. Unless you know otherwise. We are happy to use Paypal. This contest was originally listed in multiple categories: - Logo Design - Web Page Design (Coded)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at £239.
