How The Gift Gallery started their logo design journey
The Gift Gallery is a stylish online gift store dedicated to high quality gifts that represent current retail trends. We have several gift category including gifts for him, her, baby gifts, travel gifts, corporate gifts etc..We've been around for just over 2 years and it's time to re-vamp the image and look of our growing business. The current website still has the original design and we would like to improve the look of the logo and header.
We are not one of those $9.95 gift stores, if you know what we mean. Our average gifts fall in the price bracket of $40-100.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our customers are typically style savvy individuals who are too busy to waste time searching for gifts in stores or those who know exactly what they are looking for. We stock recognizable quality brands, mainly "boutique" brands, European brands etc. We also targer the corporate market but don't want to have a website looking too "corporate". Our corporate clients shop for their executives and valued staff.
Most of our customers are females (70%>30%), age range of between 25-45 of middle to higher income bracket who are familiar with online shopping. We see our target ausience as "shoppers who have everything" who are sophisticated online shoppers.
Our project consists of two parts:
1. A simple re-vamp of the existing logo
We would like it to be font based with minimal graphic details.
NO gift boxes and tacky ribbons in the logo. The logo should remain in the existing colour scheme of the website white, grey & red. (homepage background will change).
The logo should be contemporary, sophisticateed, stylish and should assist in brand recognition & trust.
2. The header of the homepage needs a re-design to include the font based logo (on the left hand side) and also 3 promotional boxes on the right hand side. The header MUST be clean, contemporary, sophisticated & super stylish! NO corporate "template monster" style headers!
It has to be clever in design and send a trustworthiness feeling to our customers that this is a serious business they can trust. Colour scheme should be same as the whole website. I think that RED is a good colour but I'm open to suggestions (no green, blue, purple). Visit our website to see the feel and standard of the store: http://www.thegiftgallery.com.au
The header doesn't have to be in the same size/height as the existing header. We will develop this as required. Promotional boxes can stick out of the header but this is just a thought.
We will also require additional design work in the near future.
DL cards, letterheads, swing tags etc.
