How Native started their logo design journey
We're a UK-based web business that sells color management products and high-end monitors (Eizo & NEC) to photographers and designers. Our clients range from amateurs and semi-pros right through to large multi-nationals. Our tag line will be 'value, service and support'
We've been in business for 6 years and need a fresh new image to go with our new e-commerce website which will be launched in September. Our customers are mainly in the UK, but we have an increasing number from Europe too.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Graphics professionals and photographers (from amateur to professional) are our target audience. We want them to feel that our logo reflects the fact that we are a technical company and not a 'box-shifter', and that we understand the problems they face with color and can help them overcome them. It's all about quality!
The logo will be the new brand to our company website, so it needs to work when reduced down to web sizes. We feel a more horizontal style will work better within a website.
We like clean imagery - nothing too fancy! The logo will also be reproduced on shirts and polo shirts (ie bear in mind that small details will be hard to reproduce on fabric), and also on exhibition stands so it would be great if there was a theme in the logo that we could pull onto stand backdrops etc.
Although our largest market is photographers, we probably wouldn't like anything too cliché (such as a graphic of a camera).
