aaronspence got their new logo design by running a design contest:
$150 - Virtual Tour + Google Maps - Site Logo

Panedia will be a very high quality, very cool Virtual Tours + Google Maps website, so it needs an equally high quality & cool logo.
What's your vision?
Tagline: See The World Desired Color Scheme: Something & Grey Accepted File Formats: ai, eps, psd (layered) Firstly, check out my website at http://www.pano.com.au to see the sort of work I do, or the blog at http://pano.com.au/blog . Extremely high quality virtual tours. Panedia will be combining that with google mapping to produce a very cool, and hopefully highly used website. [Note: I'm not wanting a logo like pano.com.au, that was a quick and nasty I did a while ago.] 1) LOGO REQUIREMENTS All logos must work as 1 colour flat logos first. ie black on white. If it doesn't look good there, no amount of pimping will save it. (You don't have to submit b&w logos, just know as you're designing, that I'm looking very critically at how the logo will work in anything from newsprint to Web, DVD & beyond) 2) COLOUR Regarding colour, my initial thought was to use green & grey like pano.com.au, but now I'm thinking of differentiating panedia. So maybe blue & grey or red & grey. Give me some options. 3) LOGO VS WORD I'm wanting the word Panedia with a logo. The word may have different colour text for 'Pan' and 'edia' to show the hybrid word. But this is not a requirement. 4) LOGO CONCEPT The logo is up to you. The tag is 'See the World' and that's what people will be able to do on the site eventually. 5) LOGO, WORD PLACEMENT & TAG LINE The full logo wording will need to work in a long horizontal format, ie the banner across the top of a site. This would usually mean logo+word or word+logo side by side format, but I also like the logo on top of word etc for alternative placements. The tag line isn't a requirement, so don't force it in if it's not working. 6) PIMPING - WEB 2.0 etc Once you have something that kicks butt in 1 colour flat, 2-4 colour flat, then you might want to play with web 2.0ing it giving depth etc. 7) FILE FORMATS. Vector Black & Colour versions - ai or eps. PSD Coloured Web 2.0 verions - Layered with no flattening if possible. 8) COMP ENDING. I'm not planning to draw this out forever as many do, I'll be narrowing in very quickly on what's working and what's not with plenty of feedback. The comp will close as soon as I've got the result I'm after. HAVE AT IT ;)
