What's your vision?
We are about to do menu overhaul and require a new menu design underscoring that things have changed. The new menu theme will be "flame pizza and grill" The menu will have 4 separate parts : 1. Main menu and beverages 2. Breakfast menu 3. Desert and kids menu 4. cocktail list Number is obviously the most important with the other parts following on with the same theme. Things to consider : - food menu category items Starters 6 Flame Pizza 8 Grill 6 Burgers 3 Salads 3 On the side 3 - beverages categories the same as on current beverage list with the exception of cocktails and mock tails which will be on separate list. actual menu description unimportant as they will be updated shortly. The no of items and ability of the design to be flexible to frequent updates is more relevant i prefer not to put many restrictions on design creative process although i don't like photos on the menu - drawings, illustrations are fine. I am open on color, size, fonts, layout, highlights etc Presentation of the menu should be considered also - i prefer clip board type (for the main document) but without the bull dog clip - something more subtle and easier to stack. Suggestions welcome. Images of the old menus are attached for reference together with some photos of the venue for inspiration. Check out the website theboat-house.com.au for additional insights.
The menu is living document designed for its content to change without affecting the overall design integrity. It must be simple, extremely legible even in dim lighting and pleasing on the eye. Its a sales tool and also an important brand communicator. Look forward to seeing your ideas.
