danielrvalentine got their new menu by running a design contest:
Urban Winery Needs Menu
Check out danielrvalentine's Menu contest…
Bar & Nightclub
We're an urban winery. If you're unfamiliar with the term, think a downtown brewery but wine instead of beer. Customers can sample multiple wines at the tasting bar and then relax with a glass or bottle of wine.
What's your vision?
I need a menu to list all the products I offer. I'd like to be able to have the menu printed on a regular 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. It would be great if it was designed to where I could print them on my own office laser printer. I'd also need to be able to edit the information on the menu as we run out of wines and release new wines. Here are the things I need on the menu: 1. Logo 2. Blurb about our name "Brix & Mortar" 3. 17 wines with prices for a glass and a bottle with 3 pieces of info for each wine. (tasting notes, appellation, alcohol %) I've uploaded a spreadsheet of all the wine info and a sample of a menu I had been working on. It doesn't need to be anything like what I upload, its just one example of how to organize the information. All the info in the mock up I uploaded is incorrect and just being used as a placeholder. I've added some photos of the interior and a few of our labels so you can get a feel for our style.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Menu starts at £159.

This is my THIRD project with Sherry_B, and it won't be my last. She really helped me out of a bind with this project -- doing a type of work she had never done before. She researched it and it came out perfect on the first try. Moreover, she beat her estimated time to finish by nearly 2 days, which was also an incredible help. She is a true pleasure to work with.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
