How Mike14 started their other graphic design journey
Tattoo.com is a community driven website for people who have tattoos and enjoy looking at designs, connecting with artists and discussing or learning about related topics.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Everyone who has or wants tattoos and/or enjoys the art form. The site is not targeted towards the "old school" stereotypical tattooed types and as such the look should not be one that is intended to attract or appeal to the rough biker/gang-member/ex-convicts types (skulls, daggers, etc). Our target audience is the new generation of tattoo enthusiasts who happen to be the college student next door and his mom. They are middle to upper class america, artistic, creative, slightly edgy, trendy, classy, educated.
Here is some highly generalized characteristics of our audience:
Average age: 25
Male/Female: 50% / 50%
Education level: 40% College, 60% High school or less
Social class: working/ upper or middle
Marital status: 70% single
Ethnicity: 80% white
The attached mock-up offers a layout that needs little change if any.
Most of the work should be focused on selecting appropriate colors and fonts and adding/modifying buttons, borders, backgrounds, etc as well as more accurately positioning the items in the layout.
Items that should draw the users attention are:
1. The "Register for FREE Now" form
2. The "Categories" section to the left of the main image
3. The "Virtual Tattoo Game"
